Tuesday at Wavecrest Primary School

Today at Wavecrest we served a few more classes! Being on campus again opened our eyes to the countless social issues the teachers here face when trying to simply help get the kids educated.  It is so sad to see these young kids being affected so much by their environment in the community and at home.  It is amazing to see the teachers giving so much of their lives, even going to homes in the "slums" to find kids who have been absent. We hope we will bring a little bit of hope to the kids.  Knowing that visitors would come all the way from America just to visit them, hopefully will help them see their worth and encourage them.  They are VERY excitted to have us at the school and we are very honored.

Today we had the kids decorate squares to make classroom quilts!  It is amazing to see what art can do to unleash creativity and imagination while at the same time build confidence!!

 The Squares all together!

 Socializing during freetime!

We see a lot of decorated ostrich eggs around Cape Town.
