Wavecrest Primary School! We had the privilege of visiting a primary school very close to the Trout's house where we entered several kindergarten rooms and a 5th grade assembly to sing some songs, tell some stories, and express ourselves creatively on some cardboard caps! The kids had way more to teach us than vice versa so we absolutely can't wait for tomorrow. We were told a lot of the boys had goals to be gangsters and almost all of the kids walked to school in a place coloquially named "Hell" so needless to say, it was a rough area with a lot of kids that just needed to be loved on. We had the chance to go outside during their lunch break and the kids swarmed us with questions like "Do you guys use sticks to eat?" which we later found to mean that many American movies they see involve them eating Chinese take-out! Haha!
One of the classes- they were so well behaved, and all wore matching uniforms.
Jennings showing his creative side!
Kids excited about their creations- it was SO fun to see them excited to show us their creations, tell us about their drawings. It gave us a bit of insight into their lives- most of them played soccer or swam and all of them seemed to love the outdoors!
"I love you"

Stay tuned for some great shots of the penguins on Boulder Beach!
