First week recap

Cape Town is such a beautiful place and with such kind and loving people. This weekend Yani took us to Muizenberg, a big surf town to hang out and later that night Ann joined us and took us to Signal Hill to see the the city at night, it was breath taking, we also had indian food in the city and me and Emily had a girls night at Ann's.The Trouts have taken us as one of their own and we have started today to start our work in the communities. This week we are in Capricorn, a suburb of Cape Town that is a community that is struggling. Today we took time to sit down and talk to some locals about what there needs are and how we can help. People are unemployed and just walking around, children are not going to school and the teachers at the school are not good examples to the students. Many people in the community struggle with drug and alcohol abuse and the children are suffering because of there parents decisions. It was hard to hear this but we couldnt be more excited to get started and get to know the people of the community and plant the seed for hope. I know God will guide us through this week and show us where we can be the most help to the people. Lastly, when were back,Jennings will be for hire for partys for balloon animals!
