Mural #2!
Sofie and Emily had the privilege of painting another mural on the wall of the soon-to-be library of a primary school that one of Arthur's grandchildren attend! We were so honoured to have the opportunity, and the kids at the school as well as the staff were SO enthusiastic and excited. Thanks, Perivale Primary!

On Jennings' departure and Endurance
Looking over Tokai/Indian ocean from Nordhoek!
A snail shell trail on the beach!
Testing the coldd waters
Today we sent Jennings off to America after a day of touring and driving and messing around on the beach! The Trout's have done such a wonderful job giving us a wide view of Cape Town- I don't think any of us has seen such beauty crammed into 3 weeks! We were so sad to see Jennings go but had a good day of laughter and play to close on a positive note. The Trouts can't wait to see him back here, I'm sure- and Sofie and Emily will miss their third travel buddy greatly! See you soon, Jennings!
This evening Sofie and Emily went to a "connect" group, a sort of bible study that is a smaller branch of the Hillsong church here. We talked about the story of Jairus and the woman touching Jesus' robes in Luke chapter 8 and how waiting for miracles can be done in a God-like way in patience and trust that our hopes will be fulfilled according to His will. The journey of a miracle may have hold-ups, delays, obstacles, and seemingly dead- ends but ultimately Jesus has heard us from the start and gives us what we need when we need it. We all have the ability of endless endurance if only we are to trust that God has our bests interests in mind and gives us the strength we need to be at the places in our life that prove tumultuous or troubling. The ultimate message of the day : Don't give up!

Final Thoughts from Cape Town on Jennings' Final Day
I knew before coming to Cape Town that this would be a life changing mission trip. I knew this, not only because of the location and culture, but also because I would be spending time with the Trout family. I already knew they were an amazing couple. That was completely confirmed during my time within their home. Daily they seek ways that Christ is going to use them. From planned programs, to ministering to local ministries and pastors, to spontaneous conversations they are sharing Christ with this world. I was blown away by how many ministries and pastors they support and shepherd. We also were blessed to spend time with their son Yani, who is very involved with the local HillSong Church here.
The beauty of Cape Town is overwhelming. The people are hospitable and warm. There is a major need for missionaires here as well. I was amazed at how our present brought light to so many people. After two days I was already thinking about my next trip to Cape Town, with the hope to bring the youth or have a family mission trip from Orange. There would be a lot for us to do!
This is a beautiful country found in both the landscape and people. I can't wait to return with Orange UMC one day! Please pray for me as I travel home and get rest before heading to Jamaica with the High School Youth Group next week!
